-About the royal jelly
Royal jelly is a white, sour cream-like, sour material with stingy scent secreted from the hypo pharyngeal glands in the heads of young workers. It turns yellow when standing and it loses its bioactive effect quickly in the lack of conservation. It is essential for the development of the posteriors of bees, particularly for the queen. Royal jelly contains various materials. It was analyzed by many researchers many times but some percent of the material is still unknown.
It contains all the essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes that are necessary for the body. Its synthetic manufacturing has not been successful yet. The so-called directed production of royal jelly by bee colonies requires extraordinary expertise, preciseness and opposite other apiary products, it can be realized with the aid of instruments specialized only for this activity. With respect to the fact that queen cells - which the most royal jelly can be obtained - are not very often in a bee colony, so bees have to be directed to grow up queens which will be intermitted by taking off royal jelly.
After that they can be encouraged to grow up another queen and so on…..
Royal jelly produced this way prevents the growth of microbes and it has a bacteria-killing effect after a longer period of time. It enhances the resistance of the body against infectious diseases as well as the inflation caused by microbes. Treatments with royal jelly have successful results, especially in case of children with low resistance against infections. Results were also achieved in case of children suffering from malnutrition and development disorders, when everything else seemed to be ineffective. The production of mother's milk is enhanced in case of those mothers who do not have enough milk. It dissolves tiredness in the older human body and it prevents untimely mental distress. It is a useful material against anorexia, metabolic disorders, old-age-weakness; useful for recovering from serious illnesses, mainly after infectious diseases with high temperature. It enhances the operation of the blood producing organs and it strengthens the nerve system.
Its synthetic manufacturing has not been successful yet. Many materials that are essential in human nutrition can be found in it.
It contains much B - vitamin (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6) and C-, D-, E-, H-vitamins. The B5 vitamin content is outstanding, so royal jelly is the most important source of B5 vitamin among the comestibles.
It contains various trace elements (e.g. sulphur, manganese, nickel, cobalt) as well as hormones and hormone-like material. The hormonal materials of royal jelly improve the functions of the gonads. For men it increases potency (!), for women surprising results were achieved by applying it in the climax or immediately after that. It is used to cure sterility, asthma, thyroid gland diseases and stomachic ulcer. Royal jelly is sold stored in honey or alcohol in Hungary.
Its protein content is very high, c.a. 12 -18 % and is it of full value.
As a result of the long-term lack of the above-mentioned components, there may be disorders in the human nutrition and illnesses may occur.
Using royal jelly for nutrition is an old tradition and its favourable effects had been recognized by the Incas. Royal jelly can be stored by mixing it with honey and the acid content of honey conserves royal jelly. It can be stored in the refrigerator at +1 - +3 C degrees.
To sum up:
- it enhances fertility and postpones climax
- it prolongs life
- it reduces physical and mental tiredness and strengthens the nerve system
- it regulates blood pressure and excellent for heart and cardiovascular diseases
- it is effective in case of digestive and metabolic disorders,
- weakness of the immune system, anaemia, malnutrition,
- asthma and
- dermatology problems.
The value of royal jelly is mostly influenced by the fact that it cannot be falsified.
